Vibrant summer Mount Without Wedding | Bristol Wedding Photographer
On one very hot day in July these two tied the knot at the epic Mount Without in Bristol. They brought all the colour, best dressed guests, Becks stunning two piece by Karen Reilly Bridal and ALL the tears and belly laughs!
Becks and her gang got ready in the morning at The Artist Residence Bristol (which just so happens to be one of my favourite restaurants in the city). They stayed in the “Artist Suite” which is always flooded with light, ample space and even a roll top bathtub in the room which adds a super fun element to the photos! This is a lesson in how getting-ready spaces on a wedding morning can make a huge difference to your gallery, Artist Residence have done it beautifully.
Becks and the gang then made their way to the Mount Without where Steve was ready and waiting at the end of the aisle. The light in this old renovated church is pretty spectacular, with its stained glass and pillars, it takes your breath away every time. They had a beautiful, deeply personal ceremony lead by Debbie from The Urban Celebrant, and if you’re in any doubt if a celebrant is for you then this is your sign that it can’t be beaten.
After literally dancing out of the hall after saying their vows, and a confetti line that lead them down to the gardens outside, Becks & Steve and all their guests got to enjoy a really relaxed and fun drinks reception in the beautiful July sunshine.
The couples mates were such fun, as you can probably tell from the Vanity Fair inspired group shots where they totally understood the assignment! If you're not one for the traditional portrait of everyone standing girl-boy in height order clutching their bouquets (it's giving school photo day, no?) then you've got my permission to have some fun! And let's be honest, if you're one of my couples then tradition probably isn't your bag.
If you're having a city centre wedding you'd be forgiven for worrying about a location for your couple's portraits, and to all of my Bristol couples I say this: be like Becks and Steve! We went for the most fun wander around the area, taking in the vibrancy of the city and deciding as we walked where to stop for photos. Becks and Steve danced in front of bookshops, posed in front of pubs (so many pubs!) and walked by places they see everyday but we put a new, exciting spin on it!
I can honestly say that even on humid July summers day these two were the coolest to hang out with all day. Their family & friends just brought the VIBE and filled the gorgeous Mount Without wedding venue with so much joy & love they nearly brought the roof down. I can’t wait to be back in Bristol for another epic city wedding again!!
