Three Generations Family Photography_ Nana, Mama & Child | Bath, Bristol & Wiltshire Photographer

I first started talking to Kezi, also an insanely talented photographer, on Instagram way back in early 2020, maybe even earlier. We’ve always stayed in touch, but with Covid and travel restrictions we were never able to meet in person. So when Kezi contacted me, knowing that I was going to be travelling to Kent for a long weekend, she originally had a family shoot with her partner in mind. But when life got in the way, we made a new plan.

Kezi messaged saying her husband couldn’t make it anymore as his work had called last minute, so between us came up with a Plan B. She had mentioned that her mum, little Eden’s grandmother, had never had any photos taken with Eden, and this is where all the fireworks went off in my mind. All the creative ideas of three generations just hit me & I jumped at the chance to capture something really special, emotional & super meaningful for this amazing family. It’s the part of my job that I love the most… giving people the gift of memories, immortalised in photos that will hang on walls and be treasured for many generations.

I found a local beauty spot near where we were staying in that I thought would be perfect for the shoot. It was a bit of a wild adventure, which made it even more special & unique. We scaled some gates, got a bit lost at times, but ended up in the MOST beautiful secluded reservoir. I can only describe it as a mix between something out of Peter Pan & the everglades.

Kezi, her son Eden & her Mum Debbie were all so up for the adventure; squelching through mud, running between trees & cuddling in close. It was bliss! And for all trust they put in me to capture their beautiful relationship, they were rewarded with some of my favourite photos ever.

Truly memories to treasure, sentimental photos of bonds that only family share, and rare photos of three generations together!
